ALUMNI-STUDENT INTERACTION Abhay Jodhpurkar is an alumnus of SRMIST who graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biotechnology.
He is a famous singer born in Madhya Pradesh. Abhijith Ragav contacted and held a short interview
with Mr.Abhay Jodhpurkar and he was kind enough to provide an insight into his music
career followed by a few words of advice for students. Abhijith asked him about his role model and the
singer he enjoys listening to, he said A.R.Rahman sir is someone he had always admired and looked up
as a role-model. As for his his favourite singer, he definitely thinks its Shreya Ghoshal.

“What traits do you think that the students should possess in order to achieve success in life?” He gave
a powerful answer, “Doing smart work by combining hard work and intelligence is extremely impor-
tant, especially due to the increasing competition around. Students should follow their heart and pur-
sue a career that gives them utmost happiness and satisfaction. This is especially valid in today’s world
where everyone irrespective of his or her interests is landing into the IT world.” I really feel that each
and every student should realize this. Mr. Abhay Jodhpurkar is a great talent and we wish him all the
very best in his future endeavors. We are very proud that he is a tremendous singer and more so that
he is a part of the SRM community.
