                                    JHALAK%u201926 Roadshow Brings Together Talent, Culture, and House Spirit at SRMISTSTAFF WRITERSRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) witnessed an exuberant celebration of talent and teamwork with JHALAK%u201926, the flagship cultural fest conducted over two vibrant days on 31 January and 1 February 2026. Following an energetic roadshow, the main event of JHALAK%u201926 unfolded with a structured house-based format that encouraged inter-departmental unity, healthy competition, and enthusiastic student participation. Representing the Faculty of Engineering were the four houses%u2014Agni, Trishul, Prithvi, and Aakash%u2014while Brahmos (Faculty of Management and PG courses), Shaurya (Medical and Health Sciences), Nag (School of Architecture, Interior Design and Institute of Hotel Management), and Astra (Faculty of Science and Humanities and School of Law) completed the dynamic lineup.The first day of JHALAK%u201926 focused on individual and duo performances, offering students a platform to display their creativity, confidence, and technical finesse across literary, dance, drama, and music genres.The day commenced with a 4v4 Debate organised by the Literary Group at Turing Hall, where participants demonstrated sharp critical thinking and articulate expression. Shaurya House emerged as the winner, followed by Prithvi House as runners-up.At Hippocrates Hall, the Solo Dance event captivated audiences with expressive performances across multiple dance forms, with Nag House securing the top position and Trishul House finishing as runners-up.Day 1 concluded on a melodious note with Duet Singing at Faraday Hall, where harmonious performances impressed both judges and the audience. Trishul House emerged winners, followed by Prithvi House.Day 2 of JHALAK%u201926 amplified the excitement with group events and large-scale performances, drawing larger crowds and heightened energy.One of the most anticipated events, the Battle of Bands, electrified the venue as bands showcased musical prowess, coordination, and stage energy. Agni House emerged victorious, with Trishul House as runners-up.The evening segment at TP Stairs featured a high-octane Group Dance competition, where teams impressed with synchronized choreography and creative themes. Shaurya House clinched first place, followed by Brahmos House.The celebrations continued with the Group Fashion Walk, where participants showcased innovation, confidence, and thematic presentation on the runway. Trishul House secured the winner%u2019s title, while Prithvi House finished as runners-up.The Valedictory Ceremony, held at TP Stairs, marked the formal conclusion of JHALAK%u201926.
