C.5.2. Student-Centric Frameworks5.2.1. Career Discovery and PathingStudents must be empowered to discover their own calling through virtual tours of professional roles, alumni engagement, and exposure to diverse career trajectories. A flexible curriculum with interdisciplinary electives, startup incubation support, and financial assistance ensures that students from all socioeconomic backgrounds can access this selfdiscovery journey.5.2.2. Building Core CompetenciesSRMIST must provide structured opportunities for students to develop, at their own pace: professional skills, communication skills, cognitive skills (critical thinking, analytical reasoning), life skills, and industryready technical skills. These should be integrated into the curriculum as credit-bearing components rather than extracurricular add-ons.5.2.3. Campus Life and InclusionA fulfilling campus life is essential to student retention, mental health, and institutional reputation. The IDP proposes: expansion of clubs and cultural activities; state-of-the-art sports facilities; hygienic and safe hostel environments; dedicated mental health support services; and an inclusive environment that celebrates multicultural diversity, gender equity, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.26
