                                    App Fair 2025 Showcases Student Innovation at SRMIST%u2019s iOS Development CentreDr. Prakash V Honored as Best NSS Programme Officer by Tamil Nadu State NSS CellSTAFF WRITERThe App Fair 2025, held at the iOS Development Centre, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, was a celebration of student innovation, creativity, and technical prowess. The event, conducted by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, SRMIST, served as a platform for budding developers to present their app-based solutions aimed at solving real-world challenges. The event commenced with Dr. A. Murugan, Head of the iOS Development Centre, followed by an insightful program overview from Dr. Paul T Sheeba. One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of seven student developers %u2014 Arjun Prathap, Haswanth, Roshan Steve, Vinod, Saanvi Kumar, Shyam Jaiswal, and Aditya Bhushan %u2014 by the Vice Chancellor for their remarkable achievement in winning the %u2018Swift Student Challenge, securing a spot among the top 350 developers globally. The App Showcase was a testament to the students%u2019 technical capabilities, featuring 15 standout apps from the 30 developed under Cohort 3 of the iOS Student Developer Program. The event provided students with invaluable feedback and guidance from the attending industry experts, empowering them to refine their innovations for broader societal and commercial impact.STAFF WRITERDr. Prakash V, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, SRMIST, Kattankulathur, has been honored with the Best NSS Programme Officer Award for 2025 by the Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell. Recognized for his exceptional service in community development, Dr. Prakash has over 12 years of dedicated NSS experience and currently serves as NSS Programme Coordinator for SRMIST. The award was presented in a grand ceremony attended by key dignitaries. His leadership has inspired many students to engage in social service, reflecting SRMIST%u2019s commitment to civic responsibility and community welfare through facultyled initiatives.Department of ECE organises 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Electrical, Electronics, Ubiquitous Communication and Computational IntelligenceSTAFF WRITERThe 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Electrical, Electronics, Ubiquitous Communication, and Computational Intelligence (RAEEUCCI-2025) was inaugurated on April 23, 2025, organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and technically co-sponsored by IEEE, RAEEUCCI 2025 aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and showcase cuttingedge research that shapes the future of technology. The inaugural ceremony was hosted by emcees Bangsuka and Sahana, who welcomed attendees and set the tone for a day filled with scholarly engagement and innovation. The event began with an invocation and the ceremonial lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. Dr. M. Sangeetha, Head of the Department of ECE and Chair of RAEEUCCI 2025, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the conference%u2019s mission to encourage knowledge-sharing and nurture impactful research dialogues across a wide spectrum of technological fields. Dr. Damodar Panigrahy provided an insightful conference overview, emphasising the global research impact of RAEEUCCI 2025 and its relevance in addressing emerging challenges in technology. Milestone Moments. A key highlight of the event was the release of the official conference proceedings by the Vice Chancellor, reaffirming SRMIST%u2019s dedication to promoting highimpact academic publications and global research exchange. In his Presidential Address, Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, VC, SRMIST. underscored the university%u2019s unwavering commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and nurturing futureready engineers. His vision of studentcentric academic excellence resonated throughout the event. Chief Guest Dr. Arun Chandrasekhar delivered a thoughtprovoking Inaugural Address, urging students to think beyond conventional boundaries in electronics design and inintegration and to embrace a global, innovation-driven mindset. In his Special Address, Dr. Sandip Patil reflected on his inspiring journey from research to entrepreneurship, highlighting the transformative potential of nanotechnology and the value of strong academia-industry collaborations. The inaugural ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K. Vijayakumar, Chairperson, School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, acknowledging the efforts of organisers, speakers, sponsors, and participants. As the national anthem echoed through the hall, a shared spirit of curiosity and collaboration united the audience.
