Welcome message from incoming Directorelcome message from incoming Director
            W

        Dear Alumni,
Greetings from the Directorate of Alumni Affairs, SRMIST.

I trust that you and your family are staying safe and healthy during these
pandemic times. I am writing to inform you that our beloved and re-
spectful veteran Professor Venkataramani, who headed the Directorate

of Alumni Affairs has announced his retirement recently. Post his retire-
ment, I have been appointed to head the Directorate of Alumni Affairs

(DAA). Just as an introduction, I joined SRM School of Management in
1997 with 10 years of experience in the industry and three years of con-
sulting and two years of part-time teaching. I later took care of place-

ments and I have also grown with the Institution wearing different hats.

I am here to continue the good work of Prof. Venkataramani, build on his excellent work, and take the SRM

Alumni Association to the next level. I plan to shortly come out with a road map for making the Alumni Associ-
ation more vibrant and productive to Alumni with far greater networking.

We are revamping the Alumni portal and the connected website. To start with, DAA plans to come out with a
photo album titled “Re-live the nostalgic moments of college life” right from 1989 to date. Even though you must

be happy where you are now in life, it must make you a little sad reminiscing those days and how life has moved
on. I am sure all the memories you made together with your buddies, those inside jokes, the pranks you played,
        etc. would come flooding back.

I would be reaching out to you soon in this regard. All I would request you now is to keep ready one or two
photos of your friends/batchmates or the priceless locations/buildings/moments at SRMIST, which brings back

those sweet memories of your life here.

Meanwhile feel free to write to me at director.alumni@srmist.edu.in , regarding suggestions or ideas to
make the Alumni Association more vibrant, engaging, and the way you want it to be. This will help DAA to in-
clude your ideas in our roadmap.

        Stay Safe and Stay healthy.

        With warm regards,
        Prof. S. Ganapathy, Ph. D.
        Director, Alumni Affairs

SRM Institute of Science & Technology
