True to the quote, and to overcome the saying “dead mind is
the devil’s inn” the department carefully chose to concentrate
on engaging alumni from various verticals through webinars
to support both faculties and students. To motivate the young
minds and to keep them engaged during this pandemic time,
the department arranged a series of webinars and lectures for
what seemed like an eternity to alumni.

Greet and Meet with Vice Chancellor of SRMIST.
We are happy to share our first virtual meet that took place on 10 May 2020 with Alumni across the USA - Boston,
Washington, Chicago, California, New Jersey, Texas, San Francisco, Dallas, New York. Thank you for giving us an
overwhelming response.
Our Vice Chancellor interacted with Alumni. We are glad to say that Registrar Prof. R. Sethuraman, Director (Inter-
national Relations) Dr. Kartar Singh, Dr. T.V.Gopal (Interim Director, Alumni Affairs) also shared their experiences
with Alumni.

This was the first global Virtual Meet up organized by Dr. TV Gopal which took place on 31 May 2020. We have
many alumni joining from different parts of the world such as Canada, Singapore, Australia, USA, Netherlands,
Nepal, Muscat, London, New Zealand, and 10+ states from India.
