The competition aimed to foster original, AIdriven ideas addressing realworld problems.Team Athreya Aero %u2013 3rd Place Winners%u2022 Anirudh Raghunath, Meghana S. P., Srinivasan R. & Rammohan S. Team Athreya Aero clinched 3rd place for their cutting-edge project, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS). Their solution targets the inefficiencies in logistics systems, particularly high operational costs, delayed deliveries, and poor realtime monitoring. Leveraging AI, the team proposed a DaaS model powered by swarm-enabled drones and a hybrid charging mechanism. The system is designed for scalability, speed, and efficiency, revolutionizing logistics through smart automation.Team Piezoelectric Energy%u2022 Jayashri J. & Sailasri K. Team Piezoelectric Energy impressed with their proposal for a Footstep-Powered Lighting System. Utilizing piezoelectric technology, their project envisions harvesting mechanical energy from human footsteps and vehicular movement to generate electricity%u2014an ecofriendly innovation with vast potential for sustainable urban infrastructure. This event was held under the (MoU) signed between the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University, Thailand, and SRMIST KTR.Themed %u201cSustainable Oceans and Coasts for the Next Generation,%u201d the conference focused on advancing research and fostering innovation in maritime technology and marine resource conservation. Over 100 research papers were presented, covering key topics such as:%u2022Smart port development for enhanced maritime transport systems%u2022Pollution management and marine environmental conservation%u2022Solutions for microplastic pollution%u2022Autonomous ships and climate change mitigation%u2022Remote sensing applications in coastal zone management%u2022Harnessing renewable energy from the seaWith participation from 26 countries including the USA, Germany, Italy, China, Indonesia, Syria, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and the UAE, the event saw 117 research abstracts selected for presentation. On behalf of SRMIST KTR, Dr. Nagalakshmi Radhakrishnan, Associate Professor, and Mr. Saichand Venkatachalam, Research Scholar from the Department of Civil Engineering, attended the conference. Dr. R. Nagalakshmi was honoured as the Best Invited Speaker and was also appointed as a Session Chair. Meanwhile, Mr. V.
