                                    STAFF WRITERThe Department of Biotechnology, College of Sciences, Faculty of Science & Humanities, SRMIST, KTR organized the2nd International Conference on Emerging concepts in Biotechnological Innovations from 26th %u2013 28th February 2025. The conference commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by Dr. T. Selvam, Scientist at DRDO. The event drew over 500 participants from diverse academic and research backgrounds, marking a strong start to the proceedings.Technical Sessions and PresentationsSpanning three days, the conference featured 16 technical sessions conducted in a hybrid format. Distinguished speakers from countries including Spain, Hong Kong, the USA, and Thailand, along with experts from reputed Indian universities, contributed to enriching and insightful discussions. It concluded on a high note, fostering new avenues for research and scientific advancement.STAFF WRITERThe Department of Physical Education, SRM IST, Faculty of Science and Humanities, proudly hosted the Annual Sports Award Function on February 20, 2025. The event celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship, honoring the winners of the competitions held from January 22 to January 25, 2025.With over 1000+ participants, students showcased their excellence in volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, badminton, throwball, table tennis, chess, carrom, and yoga. The Department of Commerce emerged as the overall champions in both men%u2019s and women%u2019s categories.The ceremony featured an inspiring welcome address by Dr. C.V. Jayakumar, Dean I/c, SRM IST, FSH, Vadapalani, followed by an inaugural address by Prof. R. Mohana Krishnan, Director Sports, SRM IST. The event was graced by Mr. A.
