                                    Hands-on Drone Workshop by University Wellness ProgramSTAFF WRITERThe University Wellness Program (UWP) of SRM Institute of Science and Technology successfully organized a two-day Drone Workshop from 23rd to 24th September 2025 at the Dental Ground. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Manam Srinu, an expert in drone technology, and attracted enthusiastic participation from students and professionals.The session aimed to provide fundamental knowledge and practical exposure to drone operations, safety measures, aerial photography, and navigation. Participants were introduced to the latest advancements and real-world applications of drones in various fields, including research, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.Over the two days, participants engaged in interactive demonstrations and hands-on flying sessions, gaining confidence in handling drones and understanding their technical components. The workshop encouraged participants to explore innovative applications and career opportunities in the fast-growing drone industry.Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the experiential learning environment and expert guidance offered by the resource person. Varadarajan, CEO of KNISS Laboratories, who inspired the audience with a forward-looking view of the pharmaceutical industry, emerging opportunities for young professionals, and the critical impact of pharmacists on healthcare systems.SRM College of Pharmacy Celebrates World Pharmacists Day 2025STAFF WRITERThe campus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) transformed into a vibrant hub of music, art, and culture as it hosted %u201cNamma Chennai SRM Celebration%u201d, a collaborative initiative with The Hindu%u2019s Made of Chennai campaign on August 26, 2025. The evening kicked off with a live painting competition on the theme %u201cMy Chennai, My Pride.%u201d Students brought their visions of Chennai to life on canvas, and winners received exclusive Made of Chennai merchandise.This was followed by a talent hunt where the open stage came alive with dynamic performances, from soulful singing, energetic solo dances, and beatboxing to engaging poetry recitals. Each performance reflected the students%u2019 pride in their city and campus.The excitement peaked with Onthe-Street Music Performances, recreating the lively rhythm of Chennai%u2019s street corners, and culminated in a high-energy DJ session by DJ Lash that had students dancing and singing late into the evening. A second-year student shared, %u201cThis was one of the most memorable evenings of the semester.
