STAFF WRITERThe Department of French, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRMIST, organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program on 20/08/2025 at, FSH-I, SRMIST. The President of Zephyr Club delivered the welcome address in this event .The program aimed to create awareness among students about the ill effects of ragging and to emphasize the importance of building a safe and inclusive campus environment. The session was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rajesh R, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the antiragging committee, SRMIST. In his keynote address, Dr. Rajesh highlighted that ragging is not just a disciplinary concern but a serious violation of human dignity. He urged students to practice respect, empathy, and responsibility while also stressing SRMIST%u2019s commitment to a zerotolerance policy against ragging. His words inspired the audience to stand united in creating a positive and supportive student community. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Dr. Rajesh R and Mr. Kumaravel K, Zephyr club members and student participants. By integrating cutting-edge technology and academic expertise, the partnership seeks to nurture a new generation of drone professionals capable of contributing to India%u2019s rapidly growing aerospace ecosystem.Anti-Ragging Awareness Program SRMIST hosts AICTE%u2019s 8-Day UHV-VI Faculty Development ProgrammeSTAFF WRITERSRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, successfully hosted the 8-Day Universal Human Values (UHV-VI) Faculty Development Programme (FDP), an initiative by AICTE, conducted in two parts during July and August 2025. The programme marked a significant milestone in advancing valuebased education and holistic human understanding. The sessions were led by eminent resource persons Dr. Kumar Shambhav (NCCIP %u2013 AICTE), Dr. Rajul Asthana (Vice Chairman, NCUHV %u2013 AICTE), and Ms. Soumya (Co-Facilitator, NCCIP %u2013 AICTE). The deliberations focused on Human Psychology, Inner Stability, and the Path to Self-Development, providing participants with clarity on foundational aspects of self-exploration, conditionings, and value-driven living. The Chief Guest, Dr. Shivganesh Bhargava, Dean %u2013 Faculty of Management, along with Dr. M. Lakshmi, Head %u2013 Department of Networking and Communications, SRMIST, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of integrating Universal Human Values across disciplines. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members across diverse academic backgrounds. Participants shared that the interactive sessions, reflective practices, and dialogues helped them evolve their understanding of holistic well-being and the role of values in education. With the successful completion of the UHV-VI FDP, SRMIST has set a new benchmark in promoting holistic human education within academia.
